After 10 weeks, DoctorDuck and BayouBen have bonded like superglue. Spending everyday together, and having the knowledge DoctorDuck has about dogs which he learned through MikeGould is a great combination for both him and BayouBen.

DoctorDuck has a firm belief in not overtraining puppies etc, and also wants to bring out the natural instincts in the dog that are built in.

For example, BayouBen has been doign some pretty amazing things for a 10 week old puppy. As DoctorDuck put it "BayouBen does things, and he doesn't even know why he is doing it, its just the built in instinct of MikeGould's Grand River blood line."

Bayou Ben at 10 weeks is

• Retrieving Dummys to hand
  • 4-7 in the morning
  • 4-7 in the afternoon
    • doesn't want to overtrain. Relies on Quality retrieves at an early age, and not an abundance of sloppy ones.
• DoctorDuck hid some duck wings in the bushes, and Bayou the next morning, sniffed all 3 of them out. And as DoctorDuck saw him finding it, would call BayouBen, and he would gladly bring them to his hand.
• DoctorDuck found a baby bluejay that had fallen out of its nest.
  • He placed it in the grass far away, and BayouBen happened upon the still alive baby blue jay. He first barked at it, then picked it up in his mouth, and brought it to DoctorDuck. The bird was unharmed.
